NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Phyton Consulting, A New York based consulting firm specialized in empowering highly regulated and data intensive businesses across multiple industries, today announced the appointment of Joshua Gorrera as the Firm’s Chief Strategy Officer effective March 9th, 2020. Since rebranding in 2018, Phyton consulting has seen rapid growth within its data, technology, and risk offerings. With the addition of Gorrera, Phyton is looking to bring the same growth to it’s analytics and strategy consulting capabilities.
With more than 15 years of strategy and management consulting experience, Gorrera offers a strong complement to Phyton’s existing business offerings, while also bringing in new capabilities in the Strategy, Analytics, and Modeling arenas. He joins Phyton after more than 6 years with Accenture where he led their Capital Markets Risk Analytics Practice. Prior to that, he spent time working in both Consulting and industry positions with Protiviti, IBM, and Citi Bank and has experience working in the Financial Services, Insurance, Energy, and Federal industries.
Phyton Consulting specializes in helping businesses embrace change to transform functions throughout the enterprise with subject matter leadership and hands-on execution. In addition to Phyton’s existing capabilities in Data, Technology, and GRC/Operational Risk, Gorrera and his team’s strength in corporate and digital strategy, analytics, modeling, and financial risk management will significantly enhance the capabilities and value to clients. These additions, as well as other key acquisitions will enable Phyton to provide true end-to-end support within Capital Markets, Banking, Asset/Wealth Management, Insurance, Life Sciences/Healthcare, Federal, and Corporate sectors.
“We are excited to continue expanding our capabilities and value to clients with the addition of Josh to our core leadership team. This is one of many actions within our strategic plan that further demonstrates our commitment to our client’s and business partner’s needs and staying ahead of the rapidly changing business and regulatory landscape. Josh’s demonstrated thought leadership and innovative mindset is exactly aligned with our core values and we are excited to have him on the team,” said Michael Ivie, Managing Partner and head of the Financial Services Consulting business.
“This is an important step, not only for the Management Consulting business, but more broadly within the Phyton family of companies and our continued partnership across our brands to deliver exceptional service and support to our clients,” said Nicole Bambace, Managing Partner at Phyton Talent Advisors, a sister company of Phyton Consulting, which provides top-tier talent to the world’s most competitive industries.
“Our business partnerships with leading technology companies like IBM, Amazon, and Microsoft are anchored on our continued innovation within our core businesses and how we are able to partner with our clients to industrialize their capabilities in an increasingly tech driven world,” said Sachin Pradhan, Managing Director and Head of Technology Consulting.
The key areas of focus for the Financial Services practice are Data Management, GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), and Technology Consulting services across capital markets, banking, and insurance clients. Other primary client segments include Life Sciences and Healthcare, Federal Services, and Manufacturing & Supply Chain. The common theme connecting all Phyton Consulting businesses is robust capabilities in Data Management, including Governance, Data and IT Architecture, Data Quality, Master Data Management, and of course the ever-evolving world of Data Security.
“This rapidly shifting landscape reflects the increasing complexity and interconnectedness of functions and capabilities within and between organizations. Institutions embracing change are going to be the best in class firms of tomorrow and our goal is to help them succeed with a unique twist on the traditional consulting model,” Gorrera said. “I am thrilled to join the outstanding consulting team at Phyton to help businesses tackle their most pressing challenges and empower them to focus more energy on their core business.”
